A 19-year-old Graniteville teen was tragically killed in a car accident In Aiken County recently. According to a December 8, 2020 news report by The State, the crash happened at roughly 3:00 p.m. the prior Monday, at the intersection of U.S. 78/Jefferson Davis Highway and Williamson Drive, near Langley Road in Bath.
Police reports claim that the vehicle the teen was a passenger in, a 2015 Lexus, was headed north when it stopped in the turn lane on the highway. As it attempted to make a left, it pulled into the path of a 2007 Dodge headed the southbound direction. The teen suffered blunt force trauma as a result and was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The two drivers involved suffered serious personal injuries. The accident marks the 29th fatal car accident for Aiken County in 2020.
